Console Commands

hmmm, it seems JC and the boys at id have changed some of these in the latest release, i've fixed the ones i know about, but undoubtably a cpl will be wrong.  Live with it.

NB.  If you're ever in doubt of a command, type what you know is right then hit TAB, if it's a valid command q3 will fill in the rest of it for you.


ie, typing cg_third then hitting tab will result in cg_thirdperson etc.
 

Enable Teamplay
set teamflags 3 
set dmflags 1

team x (red, blue or free) 
team s for spectator mode
sets teams on

Set stencil buffer to 8bits.  Only works on TNT, Rage128 etc. Not 3dfx. 
Restart the gfx engine (useful when changing vars that only work at init time.) 
Set shadows to none/shitty circle/actual volumetric etc 
Third person view! 
3rd P viewing angle 0=behind 180=in front etc. 
distance from player in 3rd P view 
Level of detail (same as "Geometric Detail" in menus, 2 looks like shit :) ) 
Simplifies some models. 
Gibs on/off 
fixes portal fuck ups on 3dfx hardware 
console scroll speed 
how long msgs stay on screen
